Hadley’s 6th Birthday Party
Hadley turns 6 years old during the summer holidays so we celebrated on Friday with a small party at home. They ate lunch, decorated H shaped sugar cookies, crowns, shields, put on fake tattoos, played Pass the Parcel, and had a dance party. The three hours flew by. After everyone had left, a mom and I cracked open the white wine and dug into the cake. It was delicious!
My friend Helen, from Partylicious, supplied the most gorgeous party decorations. We chose the Princess Box, which was fabulous. The box had everything we needed for the party. All we needed to prepare was food and we had a party! It was so wonderful to unpack the Princess Box the morning of the party and not run around looking for different bits and bobs for the celebration.
Heike and I had made a towering three layer vanilla cake with vanilla frosting, Hadley’s choice. We also had tea sandwiches, veggies, fruit, popcorn, pretzels, cashews, and popsicles. The popsicles were given to the girls straight away after walking all the way home from school in the blazing hot sun.
The girls were all so incredibly sweet for the party. Hadley’s first birthday party since moving to Switzerland nine months ago was one for the memory books, or interwebs, as it may be.
