Kunsthaus and Babu’s
After our Sunday morning crepes we took the ferry to the Burkliplatz. From there we took a tram to the Kunsthaus Museum. We were greeted and introduced to the different exhibits and activities for children. It was so wonderful to have such happy and friendly faces for our first trip to this museum. We were quite excited to learn on Sundays they have children’s painting. We walked through the gift shop and read a few books to the girls while sitting and looking at paintings from the greats.
We got hungry around noon and headed for a highly recommended brunch spot in Zurich, Babu’s Bakery and Coffeehouse. It was perfect, just like a busy brunch spot should be. We walked up to the counter and told the sweet gal from Australia that this was our first time and if she could please help us order. She found us the last 4 seats in the place. She was so helpful in getting us cappuccinos, fresh green smoothie, mango smoothie, apple cinnamon roll, waffle, and zucchini roll. They have a big menu full of eggs, bagel sandwiches, cheese plates, bread plates, lox, etc. I have been searching Zurich for this type of place. It feels like Chestnut Street in San Fransisco and Muriel’s Kitchen in London. I am already sorting out meeting up with some girlfriends and ordering their high tea (you must pre book online, but you get to skip the queue).
This was a great little Sunday.
